Conversation in BUS - Conductor and passenger

How to have a good talk with a bus conductor

It is quite common for people to have a tough time handling a conversation with a bus conductor. You will often hear arguments erupting between a bus conductor and a passenger. This happens when you are unaware of the proper way to hold a conversation with the bus conductor. During bus rides, most of us are rather burdened with our own problems, thereby being in quite a foul mood. This inadvertently has an impact on the kind of behavior we exhibit to the bus conductor. This also results in putting off the bus conductor, who thus sheds any plans of being helpful, which causes a great deal of trouble. Therefore, it works in everyone's favor if you hold the conversation in a proper and civil manner. If you are unsure of how to handle it, we are going to provide you with some tips as to how a conversation between bus conductor and passenger should be held.

Tips for holding a proper conversation with a bus conductor

Do not hassle him

The worst thing that you can do while you are trying to make a conversation with a bus conductor is giving him the impression that you are in a hurry and thus, he should deal with you at the earliest. Everyone is in a hurry and you need to wait for your turn. Endeavor to bring his attention your way in a subtle manner before presenting him with your query.

Be courteous

The first thing you need to understand is that just like you are burdened with your work and worries, the bus conductor has his own set of problems. Therefore, you need to be courteous with him and do not make him feel like you are looking down on him in any way. If you do so, you will find that he will go out of his way to help you out. You should also express your gratitude for any help that he provides you with and thank him for the information that he presents.

Listen to what he has to say

A mistake that is often committed by people is that they fail to listen to what the other person has to say. You need to make it certain that you give him the chance to speak.
